Happily Never After

Sophie Steinbeck discovers right before her wedding that her fiancé has cheated again. Not wanting to call it off herself because her future father-in-law is her father’s ruthless boss, she hires Max, a professional “objector” who crashes weddings to stop them.

After meeting Max, Sophie becomes fascinated by his job and decides to join him. Together, they travel from wedding to wedding, breaking up doomed couples and bonding over their shared cynicism about love. Their partnership soon turns flirtatious, and despite insisting that love isn’t real, their chemistry is undeniable.
