Two aromantic and asexual college freshmen, Sophie Chi and Joanna “Jo” Ephron, navigate friendship, identity, and online rivalry in this heartfelt debut.

Sophie, who runs the anonymous relationship advice account “Dear Wendy,” is confident in her aroace identity and content with her life. Jo, who jokingly starts a competing account called “Sincerely Wanda,” doesn’t expect it to gain traction but soon finds themself caught in an unintentional rivalry.

As the two grow closer in real life, bonding over their shared aroace identity, neither knows the other’s secret online persona. When the truth threatens to come out, their friendship faces a real test.

The story explores themes of platonic love, queer identity, and self-acceptance, while addressing issues like aphobia, social media anxiety, and diaspora experiences.
