Of Jade and Dragons

This silkpunk fantasy adventure, reminiscent of Mulan and Iron Widow, follows Aihui Ying, an eighteen-year-old aspiring engineer whose world shatters after her father’s mysterious murder. Armed only with his secret engineering journal and a jade pendant stolen from his killer, Ying journeys to the capital to uncover the truth behind his death and his hidden past within the Engineers Guild.

Disguised as her brother, Ying enters the guild’s male-only apprenticeship trials, aided by Aogiya Ye-yang, the stoic eighth prince of the High Command. As she navigates dangerous rivalries, guild politics, and deadly inventions, Ying realizes her father’s legacy has made her a target—and the assassin is still out there.

Caught between vengeance, survival, and her growing bond with the enigmatic prince, Ying must decide how far she’s willing to go for justice. The guild’s secrets prove as lethal as its weapons, forcing her to confront a devastating question: can she honor her father’s ideals while fighting against the corrupt world he helped build, or will she become the next victim of the deadly conspiracy that killed him?
